FUCK ARE THE HOLIDAYS OVER YET !!!

ONE OF THE BEST AD CAMPAINS EVER.

Kate Moss for Calvin Klein's Obsession shot by Mario Sorrenti in 1993 who is quite the character if you know nothing about him you should google him.Kate was only 19 when this picture was taken and I thinks it's safe to say that she has aged well. There is something so beautiful and so spooky in this pic that it still amazes me 16 years later.

HAS ANYONE EVER CALLED THE MOJAVE PHONE BOOTH ?

"The Mojave phone booth was a lone telephone booth placed circa 1960 in what is now the Mojave National Preserve in California which attracted an online following in 1997 due to its unusual location. The booth was 15 miles (24 km) from the nearest interstate highway, and miles from any buildings. Its phone number was originally 714-733-9969, before the area code changed to 619 and then to 760. Fans called the booth attempting to get a reply, and a few took trips to the booth to answer, often camping out at the site. Several callers kept recordings of their conversations. Over time, the booth became covered in graffiti, as many travelers would leave a message on it.
One incident involving the phone booth was documented by Los Angeles Times writer John Glionna, who met 51-year-old Rick Karr there. Karr claims he was instructed by the Holy Spirit to answer the phone. He spent 32 days there, answering more than 500 phone calls including repeated calls from someone who identified himself as "Sergeant Zeno from the Pentagon."
The booth was removed on May 17, 2000 by Pacific Bell, at the request of the National Park Service. Also, per Pacific Bell policy, the phone number was permanently retired. Officially, the removal was done to halt the environmental impact of visitors, though a letter written by the then-superintendent of the Mojave National Preserve mentions confronting Pacific Bell with some long-forgotten easement fees. A headstone-like plaque was later placed at the site. It, too, was removed by the National Park Service."

Ed.Note I watched a movie last night called Full Frame 7 Complete Documetary Shorts and one of the movies was about this phone booth, another one was about a lesbian couple that clean up crime scenes that couldn't be funnier,a short about a girl that holds the "slapper" to start movie shoots and a great movie called The Sunshine about one of the last flop houses on the Bowery.Out of the 7 documentaries 6 are wonderful and one bored me to death which is about "laughing clubs" in Bombay other than that I fully recomend it.

"UMMMMMM MY EYES ARE UP HERE THANKS."

CHRIS GILMOUR WANTS YOUR CARDBOARD.

Chris Gilmour is an UK born artist that now resides in Italy and he makes things like life sized cars, bikes, typewriters and electric wheelchairs out of cardboard and they are really quite amazing check out more of his work here. "One of the reasons I use cardboard is because it's so easy to find- we have an immediate access to these "re-cycled" materials in a way that could never be possible with bronze or marble. It is also free of the historical and cultural weight of those classical sculptural materials, and can offer new readings of the work. By using a material which everybody knows and understands, I can build on the pre-existing associations to develop ideas and ways of reading the work. It's a way of creating a language which is understood by many."

SOME CRAZY SIMILARITIES BETWEEN LINCOLN AND KENNEDY.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee
Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their! three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called a 'Lincoln' made by Ford.

Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse.
Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials! And here's the
kicker:

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

I've heard most of these facts before but reading them all at once in a row really does make you think just how spooky the coincidences are.
